The Organisation for Social and Economic Development (OSED) is dedicated to ensuring access to legal aid and legal advocacy for women and displaced people across Afghanistan.

Through student-staffed, attorney-supervised legal clinics, OSED provides free legal assistance, legal education, and advocacy for those in need of protection and justice. The organisation also supports women lawyers and activists through training and legal support, and monitors Afghanistan’s evolving legal landscape through rigorous data collection and research.

By engaging with local communities and national and international stakeholders, OSED also acts as a bridge between the lived realities of women, girls and internally displaced persons in Afghanistan and broader national and international policy discussions.
