In April 2025, two students from LEARN Afghan’s Journalism Project were published in Harbinger Magazine, a global digital current affairs platform written and edited by teenagers. The publication of these articles highlights the impact of LEARN’s initiative to build media literacy and empower young Afghans to share their perspectives on issues that matter to them.
Twenty-one-year-old Ghuta wrote about how Afghanistan’s digital revolution is transforming education, while seventeen-year-old Asal explored the country’s mental health crisis stemming from decades of conflict and trauma.
These achievements show the power of education in amplifying young voices and shaping narratives about Afghanistan’s future.
