Empowerment For Her’s PAREI programme continues to support Afghan women in building economic resilience through small business development. Since its launch, the initiative has reached over 40 families across Afghanistan, offering financial support, training, and mentorship.

One of its beneficiaries, Qamar Gul Sharifi from Bamiyan province, previously served in the judiciary for nine years under the former government. After losing her job following the regime change, Qamar Gul struggled to support her family—until she joined the PAREI program. With a modest grant and technical assistance, she launched a small retail shop that now provides her with stable income and renewed purpose.

Qamar Gul’s story is one of many that reflect Afghan women’s strength and determination to rebuild their lives despite the odds.
