Afghan LGBT Organization (ALO) is dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of LGBTIQ+ individuals in Afghanistan. 

Under Taliban rule, characterised by persecution, violence, and the absence of legal protections, ALO focuses on supporting LGBTIQ+ peoples to seek safety and refuge. It provides emergency financial assistance, mental health services, community-building initiatives and other vital assistance. It also advocates on behalf of LGBTIQ+ Afghans on international platforms and works to reduce stigma and foster greater understanding of LGBTIQ+ identities in Afghan society. 

ALO strives for an Afghanistan where human rights are respected, and where freedom, dignity, and justice are not distant aspirations but lived realities for all.
