Stand in Solidarity with Afghan civil Society.
Help Keep Hope Alive

Since the Taliban’s return in 2021, Afghanistan has been plunged into a brutal system of gender apartheid. Women and girls have been erased from public life. LGBTIQ+ people, ethnic minorities, and those with disabilities face violence and exclusion at every turn. As the world’s attention fades and international support dwindles, Afghan activists are left to fight for justice and dignity—often at unimaginable personal risk.

HAMRAH’s cohort of human rights defenders, educators, and advocates refuse to give up. They face surveillance, threats, and exile, yet they continue. They continue because they believe in a future where Afghan women and girls can learn, work, and lead. A future where no one is silenced because of who they are. But we cannot do this alone. We need you.

HAMRAH exists to ensure Afghan civil society survives—and thrives. We safeguard, strengthen, and amplify the work of courageous Afghan organisations in exile, helping them
